It has to be true, I saw it on a sign. We are here in the dope smoking capital of the world. There are whole streets given over to selling dope and all the necessary paraphernalia. There are bars all over that feature smoking rooms, often glassed off for the convenience . . . of someone . . . just not sure who. We had a light supper in one of them and I have to wonder what the people who live in the apartments above the bars are like . . . probably mellow and hungry. LOL.

City living is all about apartment buildings, here maybe more so given the size of the country and it’s population. There are lots of them and most are narrow affairs with steep or circular stairs. Bringing your groceries, or say your luggage for three weeks up and down is not much fun and as I’m writing this I can hear the people who live above our B&B trudging up the stairs. John and Donna: these stairs are steeper and narrower than the steps at the old crushed can in Moose Jaw. Most people just lock their bicycles outside and are on them the next day, no matter the weather. I think we just don’t realize the luxury of all the room we have at home.
